Zakharova: Moldova’s economy has been in decline since 2022
Moscow, 27 November (Hibya) – The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moldova is surviving only through European Union (EU) loans and that desperate citizens are leaving the country.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Moldova’s economy has been in decline since 2022 and that the country is able to stay afloat only thanks to loans received from the European Union.
According to the ministry’s statement, Zakharova said: “Out of desperation, Moldovans are leaving the country en masse. It is tragic to see those under Brussels’ patronage dismantling what was once a prosperous republic.”
