Türk: Resisting injustice is never in vain
New York, 27 November (Hibya) – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk stated that resisting injustice is never in vain, noting that justice may be delayed but will ultimately prevail.
Türk congratulated the winner and finalists of this year’s Martin Ennals Award.
He emphasized that they honor the extraordinary courage of human rights defenders despite intimidation, arrests, and worse, adding: “Resisting injustice is never in vain. Justice may be delayed, but it will undoubtedly be served.”
