Zelenski and UK Prime Minister Starmer held talks
Kyiv, July 24 - (Hibya) Ukrainian President Zelenski held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The discussions covered new sanctions against Russia, the prisoner exchange process, and the anti-corruption law.
President Zelenski shared details of the meeting with Prime Minister Starmer on his social media account.
He described the talks as "very good and meaningful," thanking Starmer for the UK's leadership in the Ramstein format and the new sanctions imposed on Russia.
Zelenski stated, "Moscow must feel the cost of its aggression as it deserves. This work will continue."
He also reported that the Ukrainian delegation held talks with the Russian side in Istanbul, where an agreement on the next prisoner exchange was reached, and a leaders' meeting was proposed by the end of August.
The talks also addressed diplomatic efforts with Europe and the United States, strategies to enhance Ukraine's security, and a new anti-corruption bill.
Zelenski mentioned that Prime Minister Starmer offered expert support to strengthen Ukraine's legal system, and they agreed to keep in contact on this matter.
The two leaders emphasized their agreement on boosting Europe's resilience and jointly countering Russia's influence.
