Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the technical failures in the country’s energy infrastructure and the issues with the energy connection to Moldova.

Commenting on the emergency and the ongoing work, Zelensky said, “Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal provided information about the emergency in Ukraine’s electricity system caused by technical issues with the connection lines between Ukraine’s electricity grid and Moldova’s grid.”

Emphasizing that all units had been mobilized to restore normalcy in the system, Zelensky stated, “All necessary measures have been taken at the level of Ukraine’s energy system, and repair works continue. Now, the priority is to stabilize the situation as soon as possible.”
