Zelensky met with IAEA Director General Grossi
Kyiv, June 3 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
President Zelensky announced that he had met with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
Zelensky stated that the meeting focused on the security of all nuclear facilities in Ukraine and said, “Any idea from Russia to restart the Zaporizhia NPP without Ukraine is absurd and dangerous.”
Zelensky emphasized that the IAEA must be present at the site without artificial obstacles to its operations or personnel rotation, and added:
“I thank the experts working there who show the world the real situation. We also discussed the development of our energy sector: completing the construction of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, expanding uranium extraction, and repairing the damaged sarcophagi at the Chernobyl NPP. I thank Rafael Grossi for his support and willingness to help.”
