Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Head of the Vatican State, Pope Leo XIV.
Zelensky stated that they would continue to strengthen global solidarity for diplomacy to succeed, saying: “Our proposal to hold leader-level meetings at the Vatican remains valid and fully feasible. Our goal is to stop Russian aggression and achieve a stable, lasting, and genuine peace. At present, this proposal – like all other peace initiatives – is being rejected solely by Moscow.”
