Zelensky: Russia attacked, Kyiv and many regions hit
Kyiv, May 7 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia launched a large-scale air attack across the country overnight.
According to Zelensky, Russia launched 4 ballistic missiles and 142 drones, half of which were Iranian-made Shahed drones.
He noted that the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kherson, and Dnipro regions were also attacked, and that in Sumy, after the missile strike, shelling continued while rescue teams were still operating on the ground.
"Only increased pressure on Russia and tougher sanctions can pave the way to lasting peace," said Zelensky, thanking the countries providing air defense support.
