Zelensky sends congratulations and support message to Italy
Kyiv, June 2 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked Italy’s Republic Day and made statements regarding solidarity and the latest attacks in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Zelensky provided an update on the latest situation in Ukraine following intense attacks carried out by Russia.
Zelensky stated that ballistic missile and drone attacks continue in various regions and that air raid alerts remain active. He said that 22 people were killed in attacks on Kyiv and Dnipro, including children.
Zelensky noted that efforts to protect civilians, cities, and settlements across Ukraine are ongoing and thanked the countries that continue to provide support.
In his statement, Zelensky expressed special thanks to Italy and emphasized the importance of its support for Ukraine’s independence and freedom.
Zelensky also congratulated Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and the entire Italian people on Republic Day.
