IDF: Terrorist neutralized in joint operation
Jerusalem, June 24 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced that a terrorist was neutralized during a joint operation conducted in the Yamun area under the Menashe Brigade.
According to an IDF statement, the operation, which involved the Duvdevan unit and Shin Bet personnel, targeted Mohammed Zaid, who was said to be linked to terrorist activities and arms smuggling.
Zaid was believed to have been hiding in various houses in the area and to have had access to weapons. During the arrest attempt, he reportedly tried to flee and posed a threat to security forces.
The statement also alleged that Zaid had previously engaged in arms smuggling and had supplied weapons to individuals connected to an attack that seriously wounded two Israeli soldiers in 2025.
