Zelensky spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Carney
Kyiv, July 29 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Ukrainian President Zelensky held a phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Zelensky stated that they discussed current needs, the strengthening of air defense with additional systems and missiles, and increasing funding for joint UAV production, especially interceptive missiles.
"We also discussed sanctions against Russia. Even though in Moscow they act as if nothing is happening, they are deeply afraid of the sanctions. We will ensure that the necessary steps are taken," he said.
Zelensky also noted that the results of the recent meeting in Istanbul, where the Ukrainian delegation reiterated the need for a ceasefire, were discussed: "The massacres and attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure must stop. We are still waiting for a response to our proposal for a leaders-level meeting."
