Ukrainian President Zelensky thanked Prince Albert II of Monaco for congratulating him on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

In a post on his social media account, Zelensky commented on Monaco’s support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s ongoing attacks.

Zelensky said they appreciate Monaco’s “solidarity and humanitarian assistance” and also welcomed the country’s firm stance in support of Ukraine’s “sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

Emphasizing the two countries’ shared commitment to “freedom, democracy and international law,” Zelensky said, “I look forward to our continued cooperation to restore lasting peace and strengthen the partnership between our countries.”
