Zelensky: Three sanction packages have been prepared, the first came into force today
Kyiv, August 3 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that preparations are underway for the exchange of 1,200 soldiers currently held in captivity.
Zelensky stated that NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov informed him about today’s meeting with the Russian side. He also noted that preparations are being made for the exchange of 1,200 prisoners of war.
“Three sanction packages have been prepared, and the first one entered into force today,” said Zelensky.
“Sanctions were imposed on the captains of Russia’s shadow fleet, and to ensure the pressure is effective across regions, we will synchronize sanctions with our partners. I have approved the synchronization of our partners’ sanctions within our jurisdiction next week — all necessary decisions of our partners must be reflected in Ukraine’s sanctions as well.”
