Zelensky: We continue our work on sanctions
Kyiv, August 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they are continuing their work on sanctions and that he signed two decrees today.
Zelensky stated that the first decree concerns the synchronization of partners’ sanctions with Ukraine’s, particularly Canada’s sanctions.
He emphasized that this is fully aligned with Canada’s sanctions this year, which target 139 individuals and legal entities involved in Russia’s war. Zelensky added that, together with partners, they are preparing decisions to synchronize Ukrainian sanctions in common jurisdictions.
Zelensky stressed that everyone who helps Russia continue massacres and build its war machine for further aggression must feel real global pressure, adding: “Today’s second decree imposes sanctions on 28 citizens from different countries who equally help the Russians maintain the occupation regime on our lands and effectively support the Russian state.”
