5 killed in Israeli airstrikes on tents
Stockholm, December 4 (Hibya) – Palestinian health officials reported that five people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting tents near Khan Younis.
According to medical staff at the Kuwait Field Hospital, five Palestinians, including two children, were killed and many others were injured when Israeli aircraft struck the tents of displaced people west of Khan Younis.
The strikes hit the coastal area of Al-Mawasi in Gaza.
Health teams said the victims included two women aged 46 and 30, a 36-year-old man, and two boys aged eight and ten.
Medical officials stated that around 32 injured people were treated at the hospital.
Rescue workers told the BBC that they retrieved the bodies from the Al-Najaat camp, a cluster of tents that has housed hundreds of displaced people in recent months.
The Israeli military said earlier on Wednesday that it had “struck a Hamas terrorist” after five of its soldiers were wounded.
