The White House confirmed that U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff will meet on Thursday in Miami with the head of Ukraine’s National Security Council, Rustem Umerov.

The meeting will take place after Witkoff spent about five hours on Tuesday in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin said the talks did not achieve “any compromise” on ending the war in Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump said the discussions, which also involved his son-in-law Jared Kushner, went “quite well,” but added that “it takes two to tango” and that it is still too early to say what will happen.
