Abdrashov attends Global Strategic Dialogue on Youth, Peace and Security
Astana, July 28 (Hibya) - Zhanibek Abdrashov, Ambassador of the Almaty Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended the opening of the Global Strategic Dialogue on Youth, Peace and Security titled "Youth as a Catalyst for Change: From Normative Progress to Practical Impact."
Zhanibek Abdrashov, Ambassador of the Almaty Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended the opening of the Global Strategic Dialogue on Youth, Peace and Security titled "Youth as a Catalyst for Change: From Normative Progress to Practical Impact," organized in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Youth Office and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the support of the Government of Italy, and delivered a speech.
According to a statement by Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdrashov reviewed the achievements of the first ten years of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda implemented within the framework of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250.
The statement emphasized the importance of institutionalizing the agenda and highlighted Kazakhstan's experience in state youth policies, its ongoing cooperation with UN agencies, and the role of the UN Regional Centre for the Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan, currently being established in Almaty, in strengthening regional cooperation.
