Al Misnad met with the President of the UN Economic and Social Council
Ashgabat, August 7 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, met with Lok Bahadur Thapa, President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Al Misnad met with ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa in the city of Awaza, Turkmenistan, during the UN Conference for Landlocked Developing Countries.
The meeting reviewed cooperation paths between the State of Qatar and ECOSOC, emphasizing Qatar’s leading role in supporting developing nations.
The parties affirmed that the upcoming summit would provide a valuable opportunity to review various mechanisms and benefit from the experiences of developing countries that have made significant progress in social development.
During the meeting, the Minister reiterated Qatar’s commitment to remain a strategic partner of the United Nations in addressing development challenges.
