Ghebreyesus: Relentless violence in Sudan has led to widespread hunger, disease, and suffering
Geneva, August 7 (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that relentless violence in Sudan has caused widespread hunger, disease, and suffering.
Ghebreyesus emphasized that the WHO had pre-positioned medicines in anticipation of access challenges due to rain and flooding.
“However, our efforts are being hampered by limited access and a lack of funding. The best medicine is peace,” he added.
