Zelensky: The European Union will play a role in rebuilding our country after the war
Kyiv, August 7 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
President Zelensky held a meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in which they shared a common vision of how to move toward a real and just peace.
Zelensky noted that they also discussed the details of his recent contacts with other leaders: “Giorgia firmly supports the view that European leaders must participate in diplomatic efforts for peace alongside the United States. This war is taking place on the European continent, Ukraine is moving toward EU membership, and the European Union will play a role in rebuilding our country after the war. Therefore, Europe's voice must be heard.”
Zelensky emphasized that they agreed to coordinate the next steps, including contacts with President Trump, and to stay in communication.
