Russian President Putin spoke with South African President Ramaphosa
Moscow, August 7 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Vladimir Putin shared the results of his meeting held the previous day in Moscow with the U.S. President’s Special Representative, Steve Witkoff.
Cyril Ramaphosa thanked the Russian President for the information conveyed.
The Russian side also expressed appreciation for the support given to the well-known peace initiative aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis, backed by several African countries, including South Africa.
The leaders discussed current issues related to further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and South Africa.
Both sides agreed to remain in contact.
