Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Al Thani met today with Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tehran.

During the meeting, ongoing efforts to reduce tensions in the region were reviewed.

Al Sani reaffirmed Qatar's support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving peaceful solutions that would increase security and stability in the region.

He also emphasized the need to continue joint efforts with brotherly and friendly countries to protect the peoples of the region from the consequences of escalating tensions and to resolve differences through diplomatic channels.
