According to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot focused on regional diplomacy and efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

The two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between Doha and Paris.

The conversation also addressed the ongoing mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
