Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares announced that a field hospital has been established in Venezuela through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) to assist those in need, while expressing his condolences to the families of the Spanish citizens who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Highlighting Spain's humanitarian solidarity with Venezuela and the concrete steps taken on the ground, Albares said: “We stand shoulder to shoulder with Venezuela through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). We have established a field hospital to help our Venezuelan brothers and sisters.”

Remembering the Spanish citizens who lost their lives due to the crisis or disaster in the region, Albares added: “I extend my condolences and solidarity to the families and friends of the 29 Spanish citizens who lost their lives.”
