Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics laid a wreath at the War of Independence Victory Monument in Tallinn during his official state visit to Estonia, emphasizing that the ties between the two countries are built on a shared history and a common commitment to freedom.

Highlighting the foundations of relations between the two neighboring countries, Tsahkna said, "The ties between Estonia and Latvia are built on a shared history and a shared commitment to freedom."

Referring to the commemorative ceremony held as part of the official program, Minister Tsahkna said, "It was an honor to witness Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics laying a wreath at the War of Independence Victory Monument in Tallinn during his State Visit to Estonia."
