An international football tournament will be held in Burgas
In support of the children of employees of the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria who passed away while on duty in the Burgas Region, an international futsal tournament will be held at the Slaveykov Sports Center in Burgas from June 5–7, 2026.
The tournament is organized by SFK Sveti Nikola with support from IPA Burgas Region, Burgas Municipality, the Burgas Football Federation Referee Board, and other institutions. The media sponsor of the tournament is Hibya News Agency.
Only employees from the Ministry of Interior and its affiliated security units will be allowed to participate; professional football players will not be allowed. Teams will consist of a maximum of 11 players, and matches will be played in a 5+1 format.
Each team will pay a participation fee of at least 150 euros, and all proceeds will be donated to the legal guardians of the children of deceased employees. Participation applications must be submitted by email by May 27, 2026.
At the end of the tournament, the winning teams will be awarded trophies and medals, and fair play and participation awards will also be distributed.
