Anand said “brutal repression and systematic abuse” continue in the country, noting that minorities are being persecuted and deprived of their fundamental rights.
Stating that women and girls are deliberately excluded from education, employment and public life, Anand said, “Their rights must be restored, and the Taliban must be held accountable for the brutal system of repression it has imposed.”
