Baqaei: Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons is a big lie
Tehran, March 17 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei described U.S. policies toward Iran as an "illegal war," arguing that claims about nuclear weapons are disinformation used to justify military attacks.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made statements regarding allegations by U.S. officials about Iran’s nuclear program and the military tensions in the region.
Criticizing U.S. strategies, Baqaei said: "U.S. officials are repeating a ‘big lie’—namely ‘Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons’—to justify the illegal war they are waging against Iran."
Calling on the international community, Baqaei stated: "The world, the American people, the region, Europe, and the broader international community must recognize that this is a brutal and unprovoked act of aggression with no legal, logical, or moral justification."
Emphasizing the lack of legitimacy of these actions, Baqaei added: "This is an unjust war; it cannot be imposed on the world through the repetition of lies or justified by flimsy excuses."
