Baqaei announced that he had been awarded the “Silver Cypress – Soul of Persian” plaque in recognition of his efforts to preserve the Persian language.

He stated that he received the award during a ceremony held at the Hosseini Art Center attended by figures from Iran’s literary and cultural circles, and expressed satisfaction that the efforts of the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson’s Office and the Public Diplomacy Department to preserve the Persian language, literature, and wisdom had been recognized.

Emphasizing that Persian is one of the key elements carrying the cultural and historical memory of the Iranian nation, Baqaei said: “The Persian language is the bearer of the Iranian nation’s immense cultural-historical treasure and historical memory, as well as the carrier of the intellectual and spiritual heritage of Iranians.”

Baqaei noted that Persian continues to maintain its importance in an era when identities are subject to erosion, adding that the language plays a significant role in preserving Iranian culture and identity.

He also included a poem about the Persian language in his statement and affirmed that they would continue to protect this heritage.
