Borrell: EU did not impose sanctions on Israel for human rights violations
Brussels, July 16 (Hibya) – EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell announced that the European Union Council has not made any decision regarding Israel’s violation of the human rights clause in the EU–Israel Association Agreement.
In a social media statement, Borrell said this inaction is itself a decision, adding: “Europe has decided not to punish Israel for its ongoing war crimes and not to prevent the genocide in Gaza.”
