Budrys: Lithuania and Germany are strategic partners and close allies
Vilnius, 19 November (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys discussed bilateral security cooperation with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul during their meeting in Berlin.
During the meeting, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated: “Lithuania and Germany are strategic partners and close allies. The German brigade in Lithuania sends a strong message of commitment to our collective security and is an important element of deterrence.”
Budrys emphasized that the security cooperation between the two countries “should inspire us to further deepen our bilateral ties in the areas of economy, trade, culture, and human relations.” He added that they will continue supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia and Belarus.
