Greek Foreign Minister Gerapetritis held a phone call with Sudanese Foreign Minister Salem ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting. The discussion covered the situation in the El Fasher region, ensuring uninterrupted humanitarian assistance, respect for international law, and efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region. Gerapetritis stressed that Greece, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, calls for respect for Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, cessation of hostilities, reduction of tensions, and condemns all atrocities committed against civilians.
