Budrys: Russia continues to target Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure
Vilnius, March 7 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine targeted civilian and energy infrastructure.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys said that Russia continues to deliberately target Ukraine’s civilian and energy infrastructure in its latest attacks.
Budrys noted that a multi-storey residential building in Kharkiv was struck and said: “At least seven civilians, including two children, were killed.”
Budrys argued that Russia’s attacks aim to break Ukraine’s resilience: “The goal is to break Ukraine’s resilience and terrorize civilians by destroying systems that keep homes warm, keep hospitals running, and provide energy to communities.”
Budrys also criticized allowing Russian athletes to participate in international competitions while Russia’s attacks continue, adding: “Ukraine urgently needs more air defense systems, interceptor missiles, and financial support.”
