Budrys: Ukraine’s security is Europe’s security
Vilnius, 23 February (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, as the fourth anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war approaches, questioned the level of Western support for Ukraine and called for an honest acknowledgment and correction of shortcomings in assistance.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made a statement on European security and the responsibilities of allies as the fourth year of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine begins.
Stating that Europe’s fate is tied to Ukraine, Budrys said, “Ukraine’s security is Europe’s security. As the fourth anniversary of the brutal war Russia is waging against Ukraine approaches, it is time to honestly answer the question: Have we truly done everything in our power to help Ukraine defeat the aggressor?”
Speaking about the current level of aid and actions, Minister Budrys said, “The answer is no. We must acknowledge where our actions have fallen short and correct them.”
