Budrys: We firmly believe that the future lies in the EU and NATO
Vilnius, October 16 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that they believe the future is in the European Union and NATO.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Budrys expressed his pleasure at welcoming Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze in Vilnius.
He noted that Lithuania and Latvia, bound by Baltic roots, a shared history, and a love for freedom, stand united today on the front lines of defense—not only for their own peoples but also for the entire EU and NATO. “We are more than neighbors; we are brothers and determined allies committed to protecting what we value,” said Budrys.
“Progress within the Baltic and Eastern Shields, jointly building the Drone Wall, securing the Baltic Sea, tightening sanctions against Russia, and combating the threat of the shadow fleet—all these topics reflect the spirit of today’s discussions,” he added.
Budrys concluded, “We are deeply committed to Ukraine and firmly believe that its future lies in the EU and NATO. Together, we will continue to support its bold reforms, the defense of its sovereignty, and its determined steps toward Euro-Atlantic integration.”
