Carney: Tariffs on canola seeds are expected to decrease
Ottawa, February 4 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that with new trade regulations, tariffs on canola seeds are expected to fall by approximately 70 percent by March 1.
Canadian Prime Minister Carney stated that before the recent trade tensions, China was an export market worth approximately 4 billion dollars for Canadian canola seeds.
Noting that with the new trade regulations tariffs on canola seeds are expected to decrease by around 70 percent by March 1, Carney said this would pave the way for billions of dollars in trade for canola producers in Canada.
