U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated that if the Iranians want to talk, the United States is ready, adding: “I’m not sure you can reach a deal with these people, but we’re going to try to find out… This is a president who always prefers a peaceful solution to any conflict or challenge.”

Emphasizing that they do not view talks as a concession, Rubio said: “We don’t even see talks as legitimization… Ultimately, the United States is ready to talk with Iran and always has been.”

Regarding the Ukraine–Russia war, Rubio said: “This war will end at some point, and when it does, Ukraine will need to be able to use all its resources to rebuild the country. Ukraine has tremendous economic potential.”
