CENTCOM: Claims that USS Abraham Lincoln was hit are false
Washington, March 1 (Hibya) - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) denied claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that it carried out an attack on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) responded to allegations by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that the USS Abraham Lincoln was struck by ballistic missiles.
The statement said these claims do not reflect reality.
The CENTCOM statement included the following remarks:
“Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claims it attacked the USS Abraham Lincoln with ballistic missiles. False. Lincoln was not hit. The launched missiles did not even come close. Lincoln continues launching aircraft in support of CENTCOM’s relentless campaign to eliminate threats from the Iranian regime and defend the American people.”
