Costa: The 27 leaders are acting together for Ukraine
Strasbourg, June 18 (Hibya) - European Council President Antonio Costa announced that the 27 EU leaders are united in their support for Ukraine.
European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the 27 leaders are acting in unity to support Ukraine. Costa noted that progress has been made in Ukraine’s EU accession process, its defense has been strengthened through support loans, and pressure on Russia has been increased through new sanctions.
Costa emphasized that the strategy is effective and that Europe is steering the process by acting together. It was also reported that the leaders are pleased to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the European Council meeting.
