Dar reviews preparations for WEF Davos
Islamabad, December 29 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, chaired a preparatory meeting ahead of the Prime Minister’s participation in the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF), to be held in Davos-Klosters from January 19 to 23, 2026.
Senator Dar chaired a briefing meeting to review preparations for the Prime Minister’s participation in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, scheduled to take place in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23, 2026.
At the meeting, the Foreign Secretary, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, and senior officials briefed Dar on the WEF program, agenda, and planned activities. The envisaged bilateral engagements and media programs during the visit were also discussed in detail.
Dar instructed that engagements with Heads of State and Government, as well as senior leaders from the economy, business, and financial institutions, be maximized. He also underscored the importance of exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation with the private sector.
