Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Mette Frederiksen said in a statement: “There is no point in talking about the United States needing to take over Greenland. The United States has no right to annex any of the three countries of the Kingdom of Denmark.”

The U.S. bombing of Venezuela and the capture of President Nicolas Maduro reignited fears of a U.S. takeover of Greenland, as members of Trump’s MAGA movement turned their attention to Danish territories following the attack in South America.

Hours after Frederiksen’s remarks, Trump, speaking on Air Force One on Sunday, reiterated his claim that Greenland should be part of the United States.

Asked about the matter, Trump told reporters: “From a national security standpoint, we need Greenland, and Denmark won’t be able to handle it.”

Hours after the U.S. military operation in Venezuela, right-wing podcaster Katie Miller — the wife of Donald Trump’s powerful policy adviser Stephen Miller — shared a map of Greenland covered with the Stars and Stripes on the social media platform X, captioned “SOON.”

Greenland’s prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, called the post “disrespectful.” Writing on X, he said: “Relations between nations and peoples are based on mutual respect and international law — not symbolic gestures that disregard our status and our rights.”

He added, however:

“There is no reason to panic or be concerned. Our country is not for sale, and our future is not determined by social media posts.”
