Disrespectful post from Greece towards the Republic of Turkey
Istanbul, November 13 (Hibya) - A post from the Greek Air Force’s social media account following the crash of a Turkish Air Force C130 military cargo plane sparked public backlash.
Social media users described the post as "provocative" and "disrespectful," voicing their discontent.
After the crash of the Turkish Air Force's C130 military cargo plane, a post from the official Greek Air Force account on X caused debates on social media.
The post, shared with the note “Photo of the Day! #C130 #C27 #SuperPuma,” featured photos of C130 military cargo planes.
The timing of the post, immediately following the accident in Turkey, drew criticism, with social media users calling it "untimely" and "provocative."
After the backlash, the Greek Air Force deleted the post and published a condolence message on the same account. However, before posting the condolence message, the account opened comments on the previous post, but closed them after the new post.
