Dutch Foreign Minister Weel to visit Israel and Palestine
Amsterdam, November 5 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel announced that he will visit Israel and Palestine, describing U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan as an important turning point.
Minister Weel described Trump’s Gaza peace plan as a major breakthrough after two years of intense conflict.
He emphasized that all efforts should be focused on ensuring the plan’s success, adding that during his visit to Israel and Palestine he will meet with representatives of United Nations agencies, think tanks, and civil society organizations.
Weel noted that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas remains very fragile and complex, stating, “Both sides must adhere to the agreements reached and work toward lasting peace.”
