Spain sends aid to Jamaica
Madrid, November 5 (Hibya) – Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, announced that the START hospital and volunteers will assist those affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
Minister Albares emphasized that Spain’s spirit of solidarity is present wherever help is needed around the world.
He announced that a volunteer team from the START hospital, part of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), has departed for Jamaica. “The team will provide medical assistance to around 200 people per day. Their work and dedication represent the values of Spanish society across the world,” said Albares.
