Egyptian and Iranian Foreign Ministers discussed regional developments
Tehran, February 20 (Hibya) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi discussed regional developments and Iran’s nuclear file during a phone call.
A phone conversation was held between Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty and Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi, during which the parties exchanged views on regional and international developments.
During the call, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi elaborated on Iran’s position regarding the nuclear issue and briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments concerning the recent indirect Iran–United States negotiations held in Geneva.
For his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty expressed support for the ongoing diplomatic process and stressed the importance of continuing consultations in order to reach a mutually acceptable framework for both sides.
