Estonia awards Cross of Merit to Baltic Group Co-Chair Bacon
Tallinn, May 29 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with U.S. Congressman Don Bacon in Tallinn. Tsahkna announced that Bacon was awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cross of Merit for his contributions to the NATO alliance and Baltic security.
Tsahkna met in the capital Tallinn with Don Bacon, Co-Chair of the Baltic Group and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
During the meeting, Tsahkna said he was pleased to present Bacon with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cross of Merit in recognition of his many years of work to strengthen the NATO alliance and enhance the security of the Baltic states.
The statement emphasized the importance of security cooperation between Estonia and the United States, as well as the concept of collective defense within NATO.
