European Council President Costa met with King Abdullah II of Jordan
New York, September 21 (Hibya) – European Council President Antonio Costa met with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
European Council President Costa held talks in New York with King Abdullah II on the EU–Jordan partnership and the situation in the Middle East.
On Gaza, Costa praised Jordan’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and said: “The EU’s priority is improving the humanitarian situation, achieving a ceasefire and the release of all hostages.”
Costa stressed that the two-state solution remains the only sustainable and long-term solution for peace and security for Israel and the region.
