He stressed that ensuring the Jewish community enters the new year with hope and confidence is a shared responsibility: "It is our duty to make sure you begin the new year with confidence and hope."

Chancellor Merz concluded his message with the traditional Hebrew New Year greeting “Shana Tova” (“Happy New Year”).
