Ghebreyesus' Message on GOARN's 25th Anniversary
Geneva, April 28 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus published a message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus published a message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of GOARN, established by WHO in 2000.
In his message, Ghebreyesus stated:
"Happy 25th Anniversary, GOARN! With more than 310 partner institutions coordinated by WHO, GOARN is a crucial part of the global health infrastructure. Through this network, countries receive the expert support they need to respond to health emergencies and to strengthen preparedness and response capacity. This means faster and more effective responses and more lives saved."
