IDF: Alleged Hamas operative neutralized in Gaza
Jerusalem, June 21 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Ahmed Samir Mohammed Washah, described as a sniper operative in Hamas’s military wing, was neutralized in a strike carried out in central Gaza.
The IDF issued a statement regarding a strike conducted in the central Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, Ahmed Samir Mohammed Washah, who was said to have been involved in sniper activities within Hamas, was neutralized during an operation in Gaza.
The IDF alleged that Washah had worked as a photographer for Al Jazeera in recent years while simultaneously carrying out activities linked to Hamas’s military wing.
The statement further said that Washah was neutralized together with two other Hamas members, and that his brother, Mohammed Samir Mohammed Washah, had been killed in April due to alleged involvement in rocket and weapons production activities.
The IDF stated that the operation was carried out through a precise airstrike and that forces deployed in the area would continue operations against security threats.
