The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that control of the Beaufort Ridge carries significant operational implications.

The statement said that the area serves as Hezbollah's central geographic stronghold and functions as a nerve center for the organization. It was noted that fire control and observation over the Galilee and Metula areas are conducted from this point, and that more than 400 missiles have been launched from the area since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion alone.

The statement also reported that the IDF has carried out attacks across Lebanon, from Dahieh to Tyre, and that these operations will continue.

It was emphasized that efforts will continue wherever necessary to eliminate threats to Israeli citizens and IDF forces.
